Höðr , Old Norse Hǫðr [hɔðr], (often anglicized as Hod , Hoder , or Hodur [1] ) is a blind god, the brother of Baldr and a son of Odin and Frigg in Norse mythology . Tricked and guided by Loki , he shot the mistletoe arrow which was to slay the otherwise invulnerable Baldr.

Höðr, sometimes called Hod, is the twin brother of Baldur, or Baldr, and is a Norse god associated with darkness and winter. He also happened to be blind, and appears a few times in the Norse Skaldic poetry.

Hodr (pronounced “HO-der”; from Old Norse Höðr , “Warrior” [1] ) is a Scandinavian god whom we know only from a single episode in Norse mythology: the death of Baldr .
